  • FARRP will close on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (CST) and will reopen on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Christmas holiday, Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026.

  • FARRP will close on Monday, January 19, 2026 in observance of the Martin Luther King Junior holiday.

Important Note for FARRP Laboratory Services:

We anticipate receipt of larger volumes of samples just before and just after these times as companies adjust to our pending closedown. FARRP will have limited staff available December 18th through December 23rd , but we will make every effort to maintain our standard turnaround times.

In order for us to ensure that you receive testing results before the Thanksgiving closedown:

  • Samples for FARRP member companies must be received by Thursday, November 20, 2025.*
  • Samples for non-FARRP member companies must be received by Tuesday, November 18, 2025.*

In order for us to ensure that you receive testing results before the Christmas closedown:

  • Samples must be received before Monday, December 15, 2025.*

* All turnaround times are dependent on no shipping delays, sample id errors, concerns about sample condition and/or no unexpected testing issues.

Rush testing requests may not be accommodated after these dates dependent upon sample load. Turnaround times may be delayed the first full week after the closedown due to sample backlog.

Please Note: Testing does not occur during closedowns

Please note that FARRP will not be able to receive any shipments during the closedown(s). The building is locked and no one is here to receive packages. FARRP will be able to resume receipt of shipments and testing when we return to normal business hours when we reopen.

As always, and especially at this time of year, contact the FARRP Laboratory before sending any samples. The laboratory phone number is 402-472-4484, fax number is 402-472-4474, or you can email us at dlambrecht1@unl.edu and skraft2@unl.edu.

We do appreciate your patience and thank you in advance for your accommodation during this time of year.
